Battle of the Scale

This week I weighed in the same as last week. I have always had a love/hate relationship with the scale. (Mostly hate.) I've always felt the need to weigh myself every day, multiple times a day. I was afraid if I didn't that my weight would get out of hand overnight and so I had to keep stepping on the scale. This year I am trying to break that habit and only weigh myself once a week. That may seem like a simple concept, but it is mentally challenging for me. The first week went well and I was able to stay off of it and I hope I can continue down that path. The scale stresses me out and I need to overcome it.

The first week of the year was very busy and I did not take the time to track everything that I ate as I should. We ate out a lot because I didn't feel like going to the grocery store after working late. I finally sat down and made a grocery list and am planning on going to the store tomorrow and actually eating at home. Today at lunch Dad asked if I had started jogging yet and unfortunately the answer to that is no. I did learn that it helps to be held accountable for something. If no one is ever checking in then I don't have to worry about giving them a negative answer. This blog really helped with that when I first started it so I need to be more consistent with blogging. Tomorrow morning the plan is to get up and get on the treadmill. No excuses, it needs to be done so I can be the better me that I started searching for when I started this blog.

  1. You can do it,it is always rough starting anything, just keep trying, think of the sense you will feel when accomplish your goals and how much better you will feel.

  2. The scales are against me. I hope you achieved some success. As for me, I hate being weighted, but I do this every month. No results, so far... I believe in you, Audrey. You can.
